I’ve been an artist for as long as I can remember, the kid who was always doodling, sketching, and dreaming in colour. Encouraged by my family to pursue art, I followed that creative spark into the world of graphic design, where I discovered my love for clean lines, clever ideas, and visual storytelling.

Since launching my design career in the mid-90s, my creative path has been one of learning, adapting, and embracing change. As technology evolved, so did I, mastering the latest design software while never letting go of my first love: paint, paper, and brushes. There’s something deeply grounding about working with traditional materials, the way colour moves, texture builds, and a blank canvas slowly transforms into something alive.

These days, I get to enjoy the best of both worlds. My small, bright Brisbane studio is set up for it. One side filled with screens and styluses, the other with paints, palettes, and half-finished canvases. All I need to do is swivel my chair, and I’m in a different creative universe.

Through Ditsy Pattern Design Co., I create original surface pattern designs that combine artistry and precision and painterly florals, coastal botanicals, playful abstracts, and designs that bring joy to fabric, wallpaper, home décor, and stationery. Every pattern begins with heart, shaped by the harmony between art and design.
